Here are some reasons why we will help your business be more productive and give your employees more time to focus on your business to increase you bottom line.
.) 24/7 support - What if this happen to you, 6pm and your excel spreadsheet just bombed out and you have a deadline to meet at 8am the next morning. You try to call the only cell phone you have for your favorite tech but no answer. You don’t want this to happen to you so make sure they got you covered. Call them at 6pm and try and get a hold of somebody. They should have an emergency line that will get a hold of somebody within few minutes. We at Crown have a emergency line after hours. When you hit 9 after hours it rings about 8 crown employees cell phones and we are on it!
.) Monitoring System - Make sure they watch events such as Microsoft patches, Backup alerts, Antivirus alerts, Disk space, and event log issues. Make sure they have a have a proactive philosophy about fixing computers before they break. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
.) Ticketing system - Make sure that you can go online and look at their progress on issue that they are taking care of for you. Good ticketing system also always you enter in tickets as well.
.) Make sure your data is always safe with offsite backups - Make sure they are looking at you backups everyday via remote. Most businesses are so busy they do not have time to watch the Back Backup Status and Offsite Backup Status or to verify all data makes it offsite. Besides that is an IT persons job anyways. We recommend you have an onsite and offsite backup plan in place.
.) Disaster recovery - What the heck is this you might ask. Well picture this, it’s Monday the week just started, 10am rolls around and noone can access the main server. You call your Computer people and they come rushing down onsite. They diagnose it for the next hour and turns out you have a bad motherboard and you’re not going to be able to find a replacement because it’s a proprietary system. What do you do to get you up and running the quickest? Just as a bench mark with a Crown Computer backup system, you could be as early as 30 minutes. So use that as a benchmark for being back up and running.
.) Experience and Years in Business! - Make sure they have been in business for at least 4 years. I would say the first 3 years at least you’re still getting your best practices rolled out.
.) No obligations and don’t get stuck in a contract - Crown has never had a client leave one of our Ultimate Piece of Mind plans. After signing up for our service plan you are never obligated. We want to make sure that every client is totally satisfied with our service!
.) Remote assistance - Make sure they have a standard process of trying to fix issue remotely first. It much more cost effective to fix remotely then it is to fix onsite.
.) References - Make sure to call at least 4 references. Make sure they are very happy as well. You might ask them questions on this list to make sure they are providing the services above to the clients as well. Once you get in bed with a bad computer consultant it will cost you a lot of money to dig your way out and back into a good one.
.) Business reviews - Make sure they have done more than a few business reviews. These get together are not for talking about issues like email and my mouse is broken issues. It’s about how can we take technology and make it better by looking at the business and figuring out how we can use technology to save time. This means that once a quarter or biannually you should sit down with your computer consultant and talk about how they might improve things or create solutions that save time.
