Dropbox is an internet based storage and filing system for your documents.

It is very handy and easy to use but in case the person you are sending files to does not have a free account that they offer you can still use to share documents. While in your account right click a file or folder you want to share and select DROPBOX > SHARE LINK. A new webpage will come up that will ask you to enter recipients email. But if you scroll down a bit more you can see a GET LINK icon. Highlight and copy the link and use in your normal email method. (yahoo, google, outlook)

Unless you want people to change your files you don't need them to have a dropbox account.

40 years ago Martin Cooper, the former vice president of Motorola changed the world as we know it. He made the first cell phone call from a DynaTac phone to the head of resesarch at Bell Labs. It's hard to believe that there was a time without our cell phones. What did people do before mapquest, apps, music, and texting?! We have come a long way from bulky beige carphones in fancy and expensive cars. Here are some fun highlights throughout the years of how far we have come.

1973- First call was made from a 2lb phone

1982- Talking cars appeared on tv

1989- Teens are exposed to a cell phone by the popular tv show Saved by the Bell

Shake your desktop free of clutter

If you frequently run multiple programs simultaneously, your desktop can get extremely cluttered with windows. This can get annoying if you're working on one program and want to minimize all the other windows -- in previous versions of Windows you had to minimize them individually.

With Windows 7's "shake" feature, though, you can minimize every window except the one in which you're currently working -- in a single step. Click and hold the title bar of the window you want to keep on the desktop; while still holding the title bar, shake it quickly back and forth until all of the other windows minimize to the taskbar. Then let go. To make them return, shake the title bar again.

You can accomplish the same thing by pressing the Window key-Home key combination -- although doing that is not nearly as much fun.

Look out! "You've Got Mail"

Remember the good ole' days when hearing that popular catchphrase, "You've got mail!", made you excited to be linked to the Internet? You wondered who could be taking the time to be writing to you or what they had to say. Now, even your secretary is getting between 80-100 emails in one day! All wanting your time to tweet this, Link that, and mentioning you on Facebook.

Let's face it, with the plethora of email providers people just don't get that excited about email anymore. Two reinging email providers are looking to change that with a fresh new look. Microsoft came out with it's new Outlook.com mail service that is trying to match Google's Gmail. Microsoft is letting Hotmail and Live.com users keep their emails and switch over to Outlook.com due to Hotmail's user base on the decline. Social media is what is key here and the main reason why these changes are being made. Microsoft lets you add contacts from Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, and Twitter.

Microsoft Office Suite - now you can buy or rent!

I'm sure everyone knows how much of an expense Microsoft Office can be these days. If you don't get it pre-installed on your computer you have to shell out that extra cash to buy separately; either way you end up only really using a couple of the programs. That's just what happens because you can’t customize, but in 2013 this is a thing of the past. You now have the option of renting just what you need going month by month for $10.00 a month or $100 for a year upfront.

Another new feature is that the whole suite can be installed on 5 devices (2013 on Windows; 2011 on MAC) and all your files will be synced as you work. Subscriptions also include any future versions of the suites. So no more dealing with discs that get dusty in your drawer and worrying if you lost the key.
